Email: suman.kumari@uconn.edu
Suman graduated from IIT Gandhinagar (IITGN) in 2017, with a major in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Computer Science and Engineering. In 2016, she did her summer internship at Clemson University where she developed the framework of a fibrous membrane and determined its permeability using Lattice Boltzmann (LB3D) simulations. After her graduation, she worked in an IT firm (Cognizant) as a Project Associate and later in 2018 she joined IITGN as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF). During her JRF, she worked on modeling and simulation of acoustic waves in different medium with a focus on enhancing the acoustic absorption in polymer foams. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Materials Science and Engineering at UConn under the supervision of Dr. Volkan Ortalan.
